I am not getting rich, but I do like my job.

Just sitting on my ass today, so thought I would share some pics from the field Tues and Wed.

I went looking for wintering sage-grouse. Didn't find any here, but winter conditions are here.:D

I found a few deer in this area.

Not much light getting through.

Winter conditions are concentrating pronghorn.

Snow levels are not making it easy this year.

I think there were over 200 in this group.

This young yote was traveling along the county road. I followed him for a couple hundred yards, but I take lousy pics with the arm out the window at 30 mph.:D

Here is the best shot I could get through the passenger window.

Maybe this guy will be safe now.;)

I think this guy missed his window of heading south. He didn't look happy.

These guys found a way to get around the snow.

I hope winter isn't too tough on them this year, but not very optimistic at this point.

I have a pronghorn winter range timing stimpulation exception request to put in a pipeline right though here. Those aren't cow tracks.:D

Some bucks have already shed, but this little guy was still packing.

Wow, love the short-eared. Not something we typically see around here.

I run off the road when I try it. ;)

Have you seen this bad boy from Canon? I'm sorely tempted, as I'm still dealing with the lens motor issues with my 20.

Finally found what I was looking for. Tough to see in the pic, but there were also some lopes on the horizon.

I didn't want to be too intrusive, but counted about 250 in this group. I am sure I missed some in the cover. This one was nice and gave me a decent picture.

Couple miles down the road.

I did find a few more deer yesterday.

I called into the office and we were scheduled 3 hours off early for the holiday. I stuck it out, but stayed on the county road. I don't think I could have found anyone to drive 2 hours to pull me out.:D Weather did get pretty nasty, but still made happy hour.:D

OK, thanks for putting up with the pics. Guess it is time to retrieve a pick up from the pub.:D

Happy New Year all.

If I hadn't been in a tax payers vehicle, I would have been going faster than 30.:D

Nice camera. Why don't you pull the trigger and let me know what you think.:D I will probably pick up a new camera before fall hunting. Still a Panasonic fan, but the one you linked looks pretty good (except for the batteries).

Thanks for the pictures, and, as the owner of that truck, you have my permission to go faster.....

Hey, check your PM box.... you slacker....

Awesome stuff Miller, thanks for posting!

I had that camera in my hand yesterday Oak. It's appears to be really nice. My Panasonic has done fine, but the Canon or the new Nikon are on the hit-list.

Great photos but it looks like someone left the AC on over the weekend.. Kind of chilly..

Miller.. Nice pics and thanks for posting. What kind of panasonic do you have?

I have an FZ8. I was using my work camera and it is an fz30.

Oh, I drive faster, but chasing down yotes with the rig could seem inappropiriate to some folks.:D

Sorry about the PM. I seemed to have lost a couple recently. Anyway, I responded. Let me know if you have any questions.

Miller better never complain about that job or working conditions. Great stuff my friend.
