MT pheasant opener...@HuntingHusband ‘s favorite day of the year. Wish it wasn’t so hot, but it was a good day.

Thank you. Trying something new. Shotgun belonged to my FIL, and Hunting Husband takes one of his guns out every opening day. Usually take some kind of pics to mark the occasion.

Can’t go wrong with a nice looking shotgun, a rooster, and a dog

Roosters rank right up at/near the top when it comes to simply stunning plumage coloration. Congrats on being out there and the birds!

We also went out. Shooting was on the poor side, but did manage a double on huns and a pheasant. I haven’t shoot a hun in 40 years! They disappeared back in MN.
