For the 223,and 22-250 respectively,anybody got any ?

I am using 60 grain Nosler partitions to work up a load for each.

Been thinking of getting some H335 or H4895 for the 223.Can't find any benchmark anywhere.I already have IMR4895,it would do almost as well as the H4895.Then 2 other guys recommended H322,which I don't have any specs for [Nosler recommended it to a guy] and Varget.

I had pretty good luck with the IMR-4895 and IMR-3031 in .223 with 55 gr bullets. I like the ball powders in these small cases, though, and they meter so evenly!

I did have a load with W-748 and the 69-gr Sierra HP that worked pretty well. I can look it up tonight.

26.4 grains of BLC-2, CCI SRM primer and a 52 or 55 grain anything produces groups in the 3/8" range with every rifle I've tried it is. H-335 is about the same, but also a little more reactive to temperature changes. For that reason, I prefer BLC-2.

Thanks Danr, much obliged my friend.Who makes BLC 2, so I can order some and try it ?

Picking up the bushmaster today,yeeehaaawwww!

I used 25 gr of H-335 with the 69 gr Sierra - that is a max load, and BLC-2 loads usually run about 1 gr less than H-335 in my guns. I would start at 24 gr of H-335 or maybe 23 gr of BLC-2 with the 60 gr Nosler and see how it works. These are all for the .223.

50 gr Barnes VLC, 28 gr. BLC-2 OAL. 2.255
Shoots about.75" @ 100yrds for a 16" ss bull AR.

Well, I loaded up a bunch of my two favorite .223 loads for ground squirrels this weekend. 26 gr of H335 with a 50 gr Speer TNT (for my CZ 527) and 27 gr of H335 with 40 gr Ballistic Tips for my Savage. Now if the squirrels and jackrabbits will just cooperate, I 'll have some fun.

I like it but - the set trigger is too light for me, so I need to adjust the "unset" trigger pull.

Also, T-bone looked at it when we went hog hunting right after I got it, and noticed that it had a split stock at the tip. I called CZ-USA to see if they could just send me a new stock if I sent them the old one back. Nooooooo - I had to send them the whole gun back so they could "bed it properly." So I had to take off the lousy Millett rings that came with it along with my scope, pack it up, send it insured and so on. Then I get the thing back, and the stock is not nearly as good as the one that was on it, the checkering looks like a middle school kid did it in shop class and the barrel is not free-floated like it is supposed to be, per their own ads. In fact, the barrel channel looked like it had been merely rasped and not even sanded. CZ-USA would not return my calls or emails. I had to bed the action myself and finish the barrel channel.

So - I guess if you check the rifle you are buying out very carefully (the split was a fine hairline) and never need factory service - it is a great gun.

I believe I'm just going to buy a new barrel for the Encore instead. I think that's the safest, and cheapest route.I'm wanting a 17Rem barrel.
