Started this a week ago. Little slow going. Birds are very strange to paint.

Thanks , I'm not looking forward to this one each evening but since I started it I got to finish it. I just think the finial product will look awesome but dealing with this new textures beaks and feathers has me searching the mind data banks for old techniques.

This darn bird has given me a fit ..... The shades of white, building the softness of the feathers and just the amount of tone on tone. Spent probably 30 hours on the white.

A lot more to feal with. The rocks the kind that are volcanic like. Then flat water , mild ripples and bubbles. The the feathers. Short and soft. It's been a challenge.

Update ; dealing with yet another texture {Foam} I've never done which is adding more time learning as I go. How many different textures can their be in one painting.

You did a good job with the light geometry Dave. I can tell you put a ton of thought into reflection, water glare, and shadowing. Mad skills.
