Any recommendations where I can buy or get a pedestal for a moose shoulder mount to send to my taxidermist? Any information is appreciated. Thanks, TheGrayRider.

Most taxidermist have sources for them but at a healthy price point. I'm going to build one soon for my daughter to hold two of her mule deer. If you're not a woodworker I'd suggest doing some searches for images of pedestals and show them to a local finish carpenter or cabinet maker. Maybe they can create a custom one for you.

Where are you located. I was gonna build one for my lion and ended up just getting it from my taxi. He had a local guy make it for like 350 might be a little high but in time and materials you'd be in it that much anyways. Plus i'm not a finish carpenter, just used blue pine and some wood petina to give it the stressed look and it turned out fantastic. If your around Billings or something I can get you hooked up with him. Looks a lot lighter in this picture than it actually is. 20180803_140350.jpg

Very nice. I am in the Midwest. I will probably bring several photos to a locsl master carpenter and let him build one. Thanks, TheGrayRider.

That lion mount is beautiful.
That pedestal base was well worth $350.00.
I build all mine for my taxidermy customers. But I am also a cabinet maker, carpenter, welder/fabricator, etc...........
The materials alone would cost easily more than $275.00 or so.
Again, great work there.
