Remember too that unnecessary jaw jackin with customers takes away from smithing time. J D Jones at SSK used to mention this.
I can relate to this. Retired and like to make picture frames from old wood. Sold quite a few but when order's start piling up it becomes a job and I shut it down. Been retired for 17yrs and one thing I don't want again is another job!
 
Paul has threaded a few guns for me, the latest being this Ruger Mark III 22/45. Threaded to 1/2-28, relocated the front site, knurled and beveled thread protector. Might not be the sexiest work for him, but I appreciate it.

This one has a few other upgrades: Hogue laser grip, Tandemkross steel hammer bushing, and Victory trigger. Prints pretty little groups while making bumblebee farts. 👍😎
