I am glad to see some glaring ommissions escaped that list.

And give my sympathies to those living in these soon-to-be-exploited communities.

Now that's funny. What was I thinking leaving Rapid City/Sturgis area for Montana?:D

I lived in Rapid for 4-1/2 years..I liked it.
Don't know if it would be in my top 20 though.

That one has me scratching my head too..some decent hunting around, but #2??
The judges consider fishing also... and a steady, cold, miserable wind apparently helps in the voting also. :D

This list hasn't changed much since the last time it came out and I think the reactions haven't either.

as one of the poor souls that is cursed with living in spot # 13, I would wonder who was sniffing glue while picking the top locations.

I love how a town will be in the top five one year, and off the list the next.

I guess this makes my decision on whether to stay in state or not easier, as MT obviously doesn't offer much for the outdoorsman.

I'm guessing the editors/publishers/authors all live there.

That is funny that Pocatello and Lewiston are 40% of the top 5......

The two biggest "armpits" of Idaho....

But, that being said, I hope lots of people move there and not to the rest of the state....

Did anybody else notice that Bozeman had higher "smarts" points than Missoula? I told a lady wearing a griz sweatshirt in the lunchline today that she might want to think twice about wearing that out after dark.

Bah... ;)

_________

The top 20 and not a single MT location listed... I would be offended, though find myself actually happy MT is off the radar. :)

Ha! I wonder if you get a complimentary meth pipe when you move to Rawlins Wyoming.

Same would hold true for Pocatello. I worked with some drywallers that had an uncanny need to drive to Pocatello each week. I finally asked what the heck are driving down there for? I should of never asked:eek:

These lists are kind of interesting, but you have to remember they take in account for fishing and small game hunting as well i guess. Otherwise there is no way Mountain Home AR would have made it without the fishing on the White river.
