Dont know if any of you remember 2 years ago when i tried that private land outfitter deal for Elk. If you do, you remember what a nightmare and complete rip off it was.
I filed a complaint with the colorado outfitter and license board and even though its been a long time since then they have been building a case against this guy. It appears he has a habit of being a huge liar and ripped off more than a few guys. I was contacted by the DA of CO and she wanted to hear my story again. She asked if i knew any witnesses, and i pointed her to Huntinfo.com's outfitter review page, and gave her the names of the guys that were there when i was. I told her i talked with most of the other complaint review guys and the stories are all like mine, so she contacted them.
They wanted to know if i am willing to testify and i said "hell yes" If the judge wont allow a phone testify in court the state will pay for my transportation out there. I want to see this guy hang.
He is being charged for operating without a permit (lost his and had his wife apply), and a bunch of other contract stuff.
There is others willing to testify against him. If he loses this case i may file a civil court case to see if i can get my money back as well.
It will be interesting.... i guess this guy has applied once again for his outfitter license and they said no way so it is going to court.

Schmalts; for the sake of the hunters on the NAHC bulletin board would you please post this there if you belong? If not and with your permission please e-mail me the name of the outfitter and I'll ask a member there to post it with your story. Thanks for the good news!

You boys who got rooked might want to consider a class action suit or just lining up one after another in small claims court while you are in town!

Schmalts, I read your review and the several others on huntinfo...I agree, it sounds like that guy sucks.

What's even worse is that people keep going back to him. I guess they don't look for a reviews until after they've been burned instead of before. The one about the guy who shot a deer and then found out he was trespassing...WOW.

EDITED PART: Paws, I looked the outfitter up in the NAHC online "Approved Outfitters" guide and he's in there, with six reviews. WOW again.

After i got home i did some research myself and found out i was tresspassing myself. The so called guides felt like it was O.K. i guess what a fricking joke. I dont remember if i told the complete story but it goes so deep its discusting. Like the extra money i paid for a one on one to be with 3 othe hunters and their guides to be on the same 300 acre area, and when i took my guide to the store to by him a hootche mama call because he could not make a decent cow call, and the way we used to have to bugle down the basement stairs to wake our guides up so we got out there within the first hour of daylight, and how i asked for the remainder of my money back after 3 days and ended up renting a car and hunted on public land even though i was still paying to hunt there......... it goes on and on

Schamlts if I remember correctly there are a few posts on this board you made pertaining to this. You might want to do a search for them and save them or print them out for referance.
