Shrek finally made it to the shearer after his plight was highlighted on TV in his native New Zealand.
His haircut was carried out by former world champion shearer Peter Casserley under the gaze of loads of cameras.
His fleece weighed in at a whopping 27kg. It's enough to make 20 suits and will be auctioned for a kids' charity.
Shrek remained calm during his moment of glory. It took 25 minutes to relieve him of his fleece.
He was captured two weeks ago on a remote, mountain farm.
It's thought he survived freezing winters by eating plants and sheltering in caves.
