We had to put the old dog, Shelly, down yesterday.
16 years old, deaf, blind and she finally stopped eating and pooping.
She was a neighborhood stray that we rescued.

Funny how thing happen. The "new" dog was a neighborhood stray that just showed up a few weeks ago.
A Chihuahua is pretty low on my list, but the kid fell in love and named it "Angie"..
We put up signs, and notified the SPCA about a "found" dog, but nobody called.
I guess it's not so bad, it only eats a couple of ounces a day, and the poop is so small it just falls down between the grass and disappears. Nothing to scoop.

Sorry to hear of the loss and grats on the new one.
I have a lab that is on her last... Will be tough to see her go - though any dog owner knows how that goes.

I am on the death watch for my dog Kahlua, she is 18 years old, all she does is eat, sleep, and shit. It will be a heartbreaker to loose her.
