Well I'm officially fully retired as I signed up for SS. Taking it while I can and still going .
No debt, small pension,SS& Life Estate on my ranch makes for easy living in NM.....hopefully.
Don't really want to guide anymore either. Just go play.
Heading up to help a buddy get some posts & beams up and rafters. He said to bring a cooler to fill with beef & pork.
Never thought of myself as a boomer, but I guess I am.
I still remember the "Ask Not " speech & my mom & aunt crying that day in 63'.
And they said I wouldn't make it past 1974:cool:.

Who are you kidding....you were an old fart 10 years ago....now you're just a non working old fart....lol

Congrats!! I retired in '07, but it wasn't my choice. But, I get to travel to see my kids and grandkids and family and hunt and fish. We live modestly since we don't have my full income, but we make do and are happy.

I agree with Duck Slayer.

Takes a lot of work to get there. I think you enjoyed your work by many of your comments. Enjoy. I hope I make it soon.

Slept in til 6:30 this morn,1st time in years.
Got my alarm call from a Raven on the roof. He told me I missed the elk & antelope herd leaving and had better be on time tomorrow.
I'm the Rockin' JJ Ranch greeter he said.

Congratulations and enjoy it. If you are at least 62 get your Interagency Lifetime Senior Pass (aka National Parks Pass) now while it's only $10. it will be going up to $80 sometime this year.
