What are your travel dates to/from Alaska? Just purchased my ticket. Best $10 I ever spent...man, I love frequent flyer miles. Anywho, flying into Achorage Aug 23. I drive up to Fairbanks on the 24th to pick up the inflatable canoe. We'll hit the road early on the 25th for Delta Junction and fly out that day. We'll float back out after I shoot my ram, or on the 4th...whichever one happens first. Great opportunity to shoot a moose coming out. Sparing myself a few days to catch up with friends and get some silver fishing in before I leave. Depart the 8th for the unfortunate return home.

I'm flying up on Sept. 1st. We'll probably backpack in on the 3rd, but undecided so far. My flight home is booked for the 19th, just in case I need the whole season (Sept 5-17). If I get lucky and get done early, I might see if I can find something else to do up there.

Yeah, we might be able to do that. I'm hoping to have a week to kill after my sheep hunt.

Silver fishing will be good then. Rent a car and fish the Parks Hwy. Here is a link to some fishing reports from last year. I will be there on the 25th of Aug flying out to hunt on the 28th might have to try to hook up !! I love the North pole only place you can sit on Santa's lap in July !!! haahaha

Joel...simple. My partner lives in Anchorage and he is doing the driving. Plus, I too plan to do some salmon fishing on the tail end of the hunt.

I am flying in on a red eye flight out of Seattle. I arrive in Fairbanks at 1:30 am on the 7th. I will catch a shuttle to Healy for my sheep hunt at around 8:30 am. If anyones up for a breakfast that early, I'm buying.

My partner has to be out of the bush earlier than planned. He is getting married a week later and the wife to be isn't pleased about him staying out until the 3td. So we are canxing the float out and flying out NLT 31 Aug, weather permitting. I should be back in Anchorage on the 1st.
Looking for something to do the 1st - 7th. Fishing and/or hunting. If you get finished with your hunt early and you want to meet up give me a pm and I'll shoot you my cell.

Ovis, if your going to be in Anchorage we should meet for a beer before I head out for moose on the 8th of Sept. Silvers should be going real good by the time you get into town.
