He had me worried every time we left camp. My tent is a vintage Garuda Atman that would be nearly impossible to replace.

That chamois looks a good animal with the bow, on some good grass there by the looks of it.

We had great weather....and that certainly helps the outcome.

The Chamois was Westcoast near sea level on the edge of rainforest and a paddock.

We saw some Fallow while hunting the Wallabies but nothing with headgear. Also saw a Red spiker while hunting Westcoast goats.

I think my next trip to NZ will probably be during the roar.

As im sure you know a lot of those west coast rivers will put you in the game during the roar for a chance at a red stag along with chamois and tahr when you get further into them.

Plenty of chamois down low, glad you pinged one off. We seen a paddock full just out of town on a place they are looked after. Was something different from the big basins and river systems we are used to seeing them in.
