FAIRBANKS -- A 38-year-old Utard woman who went missing during an all-terrain vehicle excursion in Alaska has been found, cold but uninjured. Melinda "Mindy" Straetz of Ogden was traveling Sunday with a group of people, including her brother Mitchell Straetz, in the area around Milepost 70 of the Steese Highway, northeast of Fairbanks. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner says Melinda Straetz disappeared around Smith Creek at about 7:30 p.m. Mitchell Straetz searched the area without success. He drove to the Long Creek Lodge to use a phone to report his sister missing at 2:53 a.m., and planned to refuel and return to resume the search. Others also searched. Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters says Straetz was stuck just off the trail, but no one could see her because of darkness
