NM 16B/22 elk draw success!

Well I pleasantly learned I drew the first season rifle elk tag for this unit. This was not my first choice but none the less I drew a tag! So now the planning begins. Anybody care to share some info with me of where to start? I do have horses.

If you have horses, you are set. I hunted units north of that boundary, twice, and I was amazed at some of the bulls I could glass that were inside your unit. Congrats and kill a big one.

congrats on the tag jeremy. I hunted there a few years back and had alot of action in the loco mountain and airplane mesa areas, I think it was called airplane mesa...i'll double check my maps and get back to you. Good luck
