Sherman is on my "Buy from Idaho companies" short list. Their say the 6.5 Sherman "runs with the 264WM." But then they say they get 3300 fps with a 140 grainer. That kicks the butt of my 264WM.
Nice looking rig in a great cartridge.

You need to try some Retumbo or RL26 in that 264WM. The 264WM is a very underrated caliber especially with newer powders.

I’ve used both. My best loads now are coming with RL-33 Made magic with a can of N570 once but can never find it anymore . I can get to 3200 but 3300 with a 24” 264WM is not where I want to go pressure wise.

Don’t get me wrong. I love my WM. But @brockel has a higher potential cartridge and likely more accurate with the longer neck for better concentricity.

The longer neck will reduce throat wear too. There are lot of reasons to like the 6.5 Sherman

With the investment for the dies I bet it sticks around for a while.

$175 is about on par or cheaper than most custom dies

Hell with me you never know. Just bought another Remington action for a steal of a deal on Sunday. That one will probably sit on the shelf until another hair brained idea comes up

3192fps with rl26 and 156 grain Berger. No noticeable pressure signs and FPS gain through the whole ladder was consistent. Probably could go more but I’ll probably hang out here

Done with load development so I decided to start stretching its legs. Went 675 yards. Need to do a little adjusting but other than that it’s coming around. Need to finish fireforming some more brass now
