New in SW Montana

Greetings from SW Montana. I'm new to this forum, but not to hunting - well, I didn't think I was new to hunting until I moved out here (fulfilling a dream) a few years ago. I've shot a lot of deer in South Carolina, Georgia, and West Virginia, but it's a whole different ballgame out here. My 12 year old son and I started figuring it out last year when we shot 4 deer between us, but this year, we really hope to punch an elk tag. So, I'll be lurking and absorbing all the information I can on here. I might even ask a question now and then. Most of my hunting will be in HD 350, 370, 333, and 340.

But at least I can spend more time in the field this fall since there's no point watching college football.

I will say the worst part of hunting season is having to wear orange. By the way, Easley, I'm from Anderson originally.
