New 4473

Anyone bought a gun since the new 4473's came out in early July? There a new question. Question 10a asks you whether you are hispanic or latino, or not hispanic or latino. Question 10b asks what your race is (black, white, asian, native american etc.) Here in AZ we are getting a lot of grief over profiling. Seems to me that is exactly what the new form is doing. if i say i'm white, isn't that stating that i'm not hispanic or latino? then why 2 separate questions? i guess they want to know exactly how many hispanics are buying guns. maybe i'm wrong.

I am an FFL and I received a package of the new 4473 forms with a letter explaining simply that after a certain date I must use these forms for any gun purchases and transfers. There was no explanation on why the new question. All I know is that I must and am following the law.
