A while ago, I started a thread about a semi-custom Tikka build I was doing. Here, five months later, it’s finally finished. Here she is!

here are the parts
Stock: Mesa Precision Arms Altitude
Barrel: 24” #1 sporter Preferred Barrel Blanks Tikka prefit 1:7.5 twist
Bottom metal: Mtn Tactical OEM Bottom metal
Scope mount: DNZ Game Reaper
Scope: Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40
Bolt stop: Mtn Tactical long action bolt stop

I’m very happy about how this turned out. I’m looking forward to shooting it as well.

Guessing it's about how much it weighs.

Nice looking rifle! I'm growing fond of Tikkas. Would like to build each of my boys one off a Tikka action for their HS graduation presents.
Oh I haven’t weighed it. It’s light though. Probably less than 8lbs.

Yeah, i finished reaming the chamber on my Savage 111 in 257 Roberts before i came on vacation. EGW base showed up day before we left. Still need scope & rings.

Gonna have to make a post about that rifle when you get it all done!

nosler has a 117gr partition that drops deer like lightning in my 250 Weatherby and Swift makes some excellent bullets in 25cal

In my Sako 85 Bavarian 25-06 I use the 115 partitions and ballistic tips and I couldn’t be happier. I also use 100 gr ballistic tips and speer SPBT and all of them are effective as can be

I have a friend in PA and he has been whacking bucks for almost 50 years with his 25-06
