My daughter's ewe hunt

We just returned from my daughter's ewe hunt in 213 NV.

We arrived at camp Thursday afternoon. We scouted that evening and Friday. Opening day was Saturday.

In total we spotted about 40 sheep. 17 of those were confirmed rams. 6 of those were unidentifiable due to distance and lighting.

My daughter was able to get a 250 yard shot on her ewe. I spotted them on a trail working to water. She was with a young ram, another ewe and a lamb.

243 Mossberg. 100 grain Sierra ProHunters on a near max charge of IMR4350.

Yes. I have 7 hounds. They go on every camping trip.

My daughter has a deer tag left that goes into early November, then it's on for lions.

We were all quite surprised. Pretty mild, if not a little tough. But pretty good over all.
