Caribou Gear Tarp

MT Big Game Rifle season - week 1

I prevent it by wearing some compression shorts as my underroos. I prefer the Starter brand ones found at walmart over the UA ones.

Good stuff. I'll check them out. Especially if they help hide my thunder.

Dead deer (sorry for the crappy iphone photo, we were rushing to get it finished up):

Sounds like a great season so far.

I second Rat Fink's tub of gold bond recommendation. It serves a dual purpose because a little shake and smack of the inner thighs releases a small white cloud of powder, from which wind direction can be determined.

This would be the point at which we would talk about clumping of powder, if we were to have no filter whatsoever.

The Blue bottle of GB has menthal. After a good chafe, slap some of that stuff on and you won't know if you are in heaven or hell.

This is the kind of information that is much more important to the modern hunter than stuff like tip deformation or the 300 superwhizbang versus the 400 superwhizbang.

We are providing a valuable service to the world. Let's keep it up.

P.S. - I like the tingle.

Also a tube of diaper rash oinment is always in the toiletries kit. If you do get chaffed/gallded, apply some before bedtime and you'll be good as gold come morning.

Good tip. My 21 month old is gonna be pissed next week when he has a sore ass and daddy is 8 hours away with his diaper rash cream.

I keep it at bay with gold bond but once it gets away from you it can be miserable, especially on a week long hunt with no shower.

This thread would not be complete without the words "sponge bath."

Non-sented baby wipes, cheap diaper ointment, and compression shorts will keep one's running gear clean enough and chaffing free enough. It took to me having a baby in the house to catch on to a couple of those tricks. I would probably not have too much to worry about if I could get less morbidly obese, but that'd take willpower. Baby wipes and ointment are easier to get...
