MT Application - Applied for the wrong choice... can I change it?

I just recently applied for my MT elk tag, and I accidentally applied for the wrong tag. I want the (-21) archery tag and I applied for the (-20). The rifle tag has significantly lower odds, hence the reason to want a change. I reached out to FWP and they are telling me that my mistake cannot be changed. Seems insane that prior to the drawing, no one can fix the mistake. Any insight? Thanks... I will live with it, it was my mistake, but sure would be nice to get it changed.

I know... but it is so painful, I had to vent and see if anyone has any random ideas.

Its MT I wouldn't worry..If it's anything last year they will send you a tag regardless of if you draw or not.

I just applied a couple days ago and read where is said you cannot change an application after it is submitted and thought to myself damn it would suck if I did something wrong so I read my application about three times.

Yup, I clicked the wrong number. It’s not a good feeling! Although the unit seems to have high demand, it sounds like it is a late season / migration hunt. Not really my cup of tea, hoping I don’t draw!
