This is a new series on History Channel that was produced by Warm Springs Productions, the same company that produces On Your Own Adventures. I have yet to see any of it, so I will be watching tonight.

A lot of the same folks who have worked on OYOA have their fingerprints on this one.

I think it starts at 10PM Eastern, tonight, on History Channel.

Hope it turns out great. Just not so great that they dump OYOA for the big time stuff.

Setting it up on the ol' DVR. 10 is way past my bed time.

I must be getting old..I go to bed early, and all the shows I like are on HIstory or Sportmans Channel.... ;)

Interesting, I'll give it a look.

Hey, as a bonus I won a $1000 gift card to wally world just for entering my email addy.......

I liked it. There was no set state, there were 3 Mountain Men from the East to Montana then up to Alaska. It was a Modern situation in that they still have trucks and airplanes. I'll watch it. John

The hippie intentionally falling off the disc while planting kale added some drama. I liked it better than ice road truckers but it was about par for 'reality' contrived TV.

I was really looking forward to this series and was disappointed. I recognized the guy from Alaska from "fur fish & game" but the hippie from NC didn't do much for me and although he looks like a heck of a guy the old rodeo cowboy from Montana was the biggest let down.

I know a lot more guys that would embody the modern day mountain man then he.

I haven't written it off yet and maybe it will win me over but I was expecting a little more.

Wow. Seriously did the one "Mountain Man" have an Escalade in the drive way?

Thinkin I will tap out on this one.

I was looking forward to this one but was kind of let down. Not sure i will watch it after the last night.

I DVR'd it last night and just watched it, won't bother from here out.

I watched it last night as well...no interest in the NC or MT "mountain" men.

For Christ sake, the idiot from Montana was having a tough time finding a deer to kill???

The Alaska portion looks pretty good. Anybody that has done any trapping at all surely dreamed about running a line in Alaska. That would be a pretty neat experience...no doubt.

Agreed. None of this new "reality" crap is much good. Too scripted, prompted, and edited

I was just hoping that the first episode was an introduction to the show and that it will get better........maybe! It has along way to go to match Swamp People.

How many times were they going to show that stupid dog running off and the people yammering on about bears....can I send them a bill for the hour of my life I can't get back.
