Randy's post about his son burning Wyoming deer and antelope points got me thinking what's the most points a person's burned in a single season? My personal highest is only 5 or so. What's the most you've burned in one draw cycle?

I don't know how many actual points it was but in 2009 I had 3 draw hunts for CO antelope archery, Nevada Deer Archery and Late season CA blacktail Archery and was completely skunked....

I burned points in 2014 for special Deer and Antelope in WY. It could have been as much as 6 points each but I did tag out at least...

The highest value tags I've drawn I've drawn in the Rendom pool. This year's Elk Tag cost me 9 points, but PP round was 23 points to be 100% odds

My Tule elk tag was always hard to draw and I see this year it's a 2.1% odds for MAX (19 points).

So far I’ve drawn an out of state deer tag and elk tag every year that I’ve applied. Haven’t resorted to OTC yet(I did buy an OTC tag one year in order to actually have two elk tags). I’ve drawn 12 out of state tags. Total lifetime point expenditure out of state=1.

4 pts on elk. I have 6 mule deer points building just because I have drawn on leftover and second draw. Glad I saw this because I need to but SD deer points by the end of tomorrow!

In 2020 I burned 44 NR points on two Oregon hunts. And throw in elk in 2019 made 65 over 2 years. None were good hunts. But I desperately needed to exit that system. It was just a bad move to ever buy into it. But did salvage a great cheap vacation with the wife to a Reno casino resort, and visits to Yosemite NP & Crater Lake.
