Here's an interesting spin (no pun intended) I hadn't considered in the battle against windmills. According to The Evening Telegraph, broadcasters in England are concerned about the RF-reflecting capabilities of the turbine blades:
quote:
“Wind turbines are becoming more and more of an issue because if you have large, metal structures which are moving, then pictures can be severely distorted.”
“If they are not in the line of sight then it is possible there is a lesser chance of them being affected. But if some aerials point straight through then there is every chance they will be affected, although not having been aware of the potential problem that is as far as we can comment at the moment.”

They also cite concerns of scattered radar transmissions from the nearby fighter base.
MY OPINION: I can see where there could be concern, and it certainly warrants more research. Why not some sort of synthetic turbine blades, like polymers or similar?
