I don't know where to start. This hunt had such highs and lows that it is hard to put into words. My daughter loves to go with me scouting, which is kind of unusual for a thirteen year old girl. I also had a good friend that spent a lot of days with me scouting. i can safely say I spent at least twenty days scouting and put over 2500 miles on my truck.
My daughter and I saw this buck for the first time in the end of July. It was the first buck I saw that i knew was a no question shooter. I was able to snap a few pictures through the spotter before he was gone. With the heat waves the pictures didn't turn out but I new he was pretty good. I put up a trail cam at a water hole the next time I was in the area and was able to get a couple of pictures of him. I still didn't realize how good he was, which is probably a good thing.
Long story short, I was able to take a buck of a lifetime with my wife and daughter standing next to me.
