Montana Senate Bill 381 - Bill Proposes Sale of State Trust Lands to Montanans for Homesteading

Senator Daniel Emrich (R-Great Falls) has a bill pending (SB 381) in the State Senate that proposes to sell of 126,000 acres of State public lands for homesteading by people who have lived in Montana for 10 years. The Senate Committee on Natural Resources heard the Bill on Wednesday.

At least they recognized we’re being pushed out.. As someone that has been here 20 years and is moving, I wouldn’t want the forfeiture of our state lands to be how it gets “resolved”…
