Ia the Color scheme for human traffic? If you are west of the Little Belts, assume you are in griz country. The idea of "confirmed populations" is such a dynamic(expanding) concept in Montana. In other words, today they are where they were yesterday, and many places they weren't.

It's a modeling effort showing the routes most likely to be used by griz coming north out of the GYE. It was made a few years ago and has proven to be pretty predictive. It doesn't even take into consideration the bears from the Crown of the Continent, of which there are hundreds.Ia the Color scheme for human traffic?
Question-Is the grizzly boundary the east, west or dead center of the red line? Due to the width of the red line it covers a bazillon acres and if I hunt an area covered by the red line I need to know if I am safe or not.Say no more.View attachment 194592
It's one big Bear held in by high voltage fence. Just hunt east of the fence....Question-Is the grizzly boundary the east, west or dead center of the red line? Sir that was a raccoon that got into your coffee grounds.
it was sure pretty driving through there (in the Summer) thoughWas going to say, the blue/white map didn't capture the cabinet/yaak population. Not that I'd advise elk hunting there..
