This is the first announcement for our upcoming YouTube only episode. Yup, it will not be on TV. You can only watch it on YouTube.

Premier is Monday June 27th at 7:00pm Mountain Time. A public land Central Montana Elk hunt from last season.

This is a huge experiment, both in terms of cost and opportunity. To try film enough episodes for both TV and some YouTube experiments nearly did me in last season. I hope this YouTube experiment goes as well as planned. If not, well, back to the drawing board. If so, lots of great opportunities ahead for us.

I have asked a few favors on this site in the past. I am doing so again, with my normal level of hesitation. Here is the favor.

1. Go and watch this one-minute Teaser clip - https://youtu.be/7mmv8nb5QJM

2. If you like us pushing these boundaries of where content will be available, free and online, please share these Teaser clips and with your friends (and the episode when it goes live).

3. Please subscribe to our channel at this link, and if you have hunting friends who would like high production content for free, please ask them to subscribe (it's free) - https://goo.gl/nXo5jd

We will be posting another teaser clip next weekend to remind folks of the upcoming event.

I'm glad you're trying this approach. As someone without cable/satellite, I always have to wait to see things like this. I'll do everything I can to support it...as long as it's free. Then again I did buy your Fresh Tracks DVDs.

Tease is the correct word to use! I will definitely spread this one around.

Looking forward to the rest of the video.

Looking forward to watching the entire episode. Thanks for providing free content on YouTube and many other platforms for us to enjoy!

YouTube Promo Clip #2

Here is another promo clip for the episode that we will make live on our YouTube channel on Monday, June 27th. Any time after 7:00 pm Mountain Time, you can watch all 22 minutes.

If you want a small peek into what happens when elk run off and the trigger man is ready to shoot, but the camera does like the situation, this second Promo Clip should give you some idea. When we are set up, the camera guy calls everything; he is in control of the situation and as hard as it might be, the shooter has to trust him. The shooter has one focus - stay on the animal until the camera guy tells you to "take 'em."

When you don't hear the "take 'em" come from the camera man, you usually have a few bits of your own colorful language that can be distilled to, "What the hell you waiting for, he's gonna run off." At which time the camera guy is responsible to shout instructions of what he wants you to do to get the footage he wants. In this case, the command was "Go, run, run!" At which time I took off running, all the while cussing (that audio is cut) as to how we pulled such an amateur move to get separated while running up out of timber, and then found ourselves to not have the same lanes of vision.

After a couple hundred yard sprint across the open slope and just when I am ready to shoot, I get told "Hang on!" That command was to make sure we are both on the same bull and not a repeat of the fiasco of being on different bulls as we were just a minute prior, and like we were when I took the first shot in this sequence at the bull as he was off camera. You get to see the last two shots, thanks to that mix up. It is times like this that you are thankful to have a camera guy like Tyler. He is as good under pressure with the camera as he is at killing big elk with his bow.

another great Teaser. I cant wait to watch this episode. I've been in withdrawals lately with no Fresh Tracks on TV. And watching you hunt with that Howa while my new Alpine Mt rifle sits in the safe waiting for the Talley rings to arrive is killing me. great product you are putting out!
