Hunting season has come to a close in Montana. It wasn’t looking like a good year going through the summer with drought, grasshoppers, and grey beetles. We were lucky and didn’t have any fires. As others throughout this state and surrounding states did. The only storms we got came with 100 mph wind and 90 mph wind. Half hour of wind and we are still fixing damage. When hunting season started, we weren’t seeing the deer like normal. Not sure what to expect, but pretty soon the rut started, and everything started showing up and moving around and looking really good. It’s amazing how things can look bad and the next day they turn around. We had hunters show up and filled in one or two days and were pleased with what they got. After they filled, they got to shoot at some coyotes to pass the time, we got in touch with our aerial predator hunter to knock down some coyotes throughout the winter, and we talked with an outfitter to hunt Mountain Lions. Things are always busy and trying to start booking hunts for next year. I post some pictures of what is still around and looking forward to next year. If anyone is interested feel free to email me with any questions.

Good luck and good hunting

Thank you for making my point that the late rut hunt is really good deal for landowners looking to may a buck off of hunting.
