At 4:11pm on Tuesday the 13th, *trapper* (known by close friends) lost his fight with life after a heart attack early the morning of the 12th. Visited with dad on Sunday and helped him do a few things and had a couple of beers with him and talked about scouting for our October hunts. Had he been 30 years younger they could have sent him to the cardiac cath lab and had him fixed in 45 minutes or so, according to his doctors. Unfortunately his 92 year-old plumbing was like rusty old pipes so we followed his directives with DNR. Our family is suffering from a sadness that some of your may have already experienced in your life.
It won't be the same hunting without him and his wisdom this fall, but I am sure his bottle of scotch WILL NOT go untouched.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Nothing better than going hunting and remembering all of the falls you spent with your old man.

Condolence idnative. Must be pretty darn proud of all the wisdom passed over time. Prayers with your family and friends.
Each hunting season - I pick up a can of "Miller High Life" in rememberance of one who passed. My way of saying - hello.

Must've been a tough guy to go 92 years. Very sorry for your loss but happy for your Pop's legacy.

Sorry to hear about this. Hope a life full of great memores with him help you and your family through this difficult time.

My condolences. You were very fortunate to have him as long as you did.
Relish the memories.

Keep him close to your heart and mind and he will always be there, Sorry to hear about your loss!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Sounds like you should have good memories to help you through it.

Condolences from our household, and I too hope I'm planning my fall hunts at 92

Sorry for your loss. Just remember to share the stories of you and your fathers hunting trips with your kids and their kids and everyone will have a story to tell their kids about your father.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like he lead a great life. I hope I'm still drinking at 92 and like oak said planning my fall hunts.

It seems as if Dad had everything in order. He went hunting with us (as always) last fall at 91. I went out and had coffee with him the morning idnative went to visit. That afternoon he picked our Mom up at the care center and took her to our sister's for their Sunday dinner. We all got to visit with him one last time that day.

Sorry for your loss. He will still be with you in the fall you'll just need to look harder to see him. Listen closer to hear him. Rest assure the breeze on your neck is not always just wind.
