I'm more concerned with price than location. Looking for between 50-200 acres in a western state. Where to even start?????

if you have to broaden your acreage requirement(maybe consider less) I have 20 acres for sale in Three Forks, Mt. area. Decent subdivision parcel w/ relaxed covenants, killer views, reasonable well depth to good water, abuts county road, centrally located for good hunting and fishing access.Parcel is located off Rte.287 corridor just north of the interstate.Google Land West Real Estate, mls#189427.

landwatch, landsofamerica, landflip, unitedcountry, landandfarm, craigslist.

Just google "land for sale" or "acreage for sale"

If you find and area/county you like you can possibly take the search to local real estate agencies and see if they have a property listed.

This acreage is located in the 380 elk unit, but won't guarantee a successful draw.:(
I have yet to get the bull tag but a neighbor has drawn it twice in ten years,....he works for the forest service.....hmmm suspicious? Surprised Buzz hasn't cashed in to date.;)

It has always seemed like when you try to purchase a Land / Home package you tend to come out better. You can always look for a home that borders the NF instead of trying to make your own Hunting Reserve. John

Seems like people from other parts of the country think they can go buy 50 acres in Co, MT, WY, ID, etc.. and have their own private hunting preserve. In reality a piece of land that big works great in other part of the country but for a western hunt 50 acres probably won't really create much hunting opportunity unless you are looking for turkeys and Whitetail on a river bottom. 50 acres wont' really hold elk, antelope, etc...

If you are concerned with cost you will be looking at places such as Eastern Wyoming where land is relatively cheap. As John said finding a small piece of land that allows you to access other accessible public land is probably your best bet.
