I'll not be "gracing" the threads of this forum for a bit. With all that is going on which affects hunting and fishing in the political arena, I get very tunnel visioned. Right now it's kind of a mission of mine (joining others) to help protect all that is sacred that we have here in MT. My enthusiasm can have the opposite effect on some folks that I hope for. Between getting very busy at work and, as Dirty Harry said "man's got to know his limitations", backing off (at least on this site) of some "public" activism is probably a good idea. But make no mistake-I don't care if you live in Montana, Minnesota, or Texas- todays political and economic climate and the commercialization and industrialization of outdoor pursuits threatens the very thing that "on Your Own" is all about. This is a great site, with a lot of good insights. By the way..one last thing. Sen. Walt McNutt, an eastern MT Republican actually admonished his his fellow legislators today. He said he was getting emails from constituents that were "frightened" by the goings on in Helena, and that the legislative body had to stop looking like "bufoons". In the words of some others on this site...now that's funny. And, CritterGitter, my dog never pisses in my cheerios....she's a girl-can't lift her leg like that-but she's bird pointin bitch. Keep up the good work......
