Anyone have brand preference for a light weight .308 lever action? I’m thinking it will be my pig gun, but will also use it for elk.

I agree that the missing under tube mag does not reconcile aesthetics but the weight savings and pointy ammo choices of the stack detachable mag is a plus.Mechanically they're cool guns, I think they're a bit on the ugly side though.

Henry Long Ranger? 7lbs...
Make sure to check lettering for crispness…If you are good hunting used guns, then a Marlin with a JM stamped barrel - or a Savage 99 that is in good condition would be fine gun safe additions.
I have the Long Ranger in .243 and think it's a great gun. It's accurate, smooth, and nice looking; but it's not a light gun.
