Leupold warranty service time

Leupold scope that I’ve had for many years developed an issue this fall and I had to send it in for warranty repair/replacement.
My tracking number shows it was delivered to them on December 14th, but I never heard anything from Leupold to confirm they received it. I emailed them with the tracking number and their reply was that they don’t see it in there system but that it takes 7 to 10 business days from the time it arrives until it’s entered in their system. But that 10 business days is more than past and I still have heard nothing.
Anyone here had to send something back to Leupold before? What was the turn-around time like?
At what point do I assume my scope was lost and try to make a claim with USPS?
 
I’d probably at least give it a month. From what I’ve heard, Leupold doesn’t usually reach out for scopes received and you have them back to you before you hear from them on warranty work. With the shipping backlog from over Christmas, I think I’d probably wait another week or two before I’d get too worried. But that’s just me.
