Since it's pretty much impossible to fish with everyone on this site I thought I'd take you along on a fishing trip from just a couple weeks ago. I'm still figuring out a new video editing program on my computer so this video is 100% not commercial grade quality, but it's not terrible either. Well at least I don't think so. The wind was really howling and it was snowing pretty good on and off, so I have to audio reduced in a lot of the video. Just listening to that wind noise on full volume would drive a guy crazy. My youngest son did all the video taping. I thought he did okay for a little kid. I've certainly seen worse. Anyway, if you are extremely bored (or just need a diversion from what you are doing) come join me in this 5.5 minute video and see what it's like fishing Montana in the early spring with a marabou jig.

Thanks for that. I am at work extremely bored and now more than a little bit jealous.

As if pictures weren't enough to make me stare out the window all day and dream of Montana!
You're making it harder and harder to even open your threads anymore!

Seriously, enjoyed that - thanks for sharing.

id like to see your technique, you really have it mastered that is for sure

my son and I spent couple days there fishing, one fish on the kits jigs on the first day

second day over 40 fish landed on the flyrods with a small nymph,
first time he has ever caught a fish on a flyrod, he is hooked for life

the first fish all he could yell was ,what do I do ,,,,, what do I do, slack line everywhere fish running like crazy,

both days were windy and cold but it didn't stop the fish

300stw, eventually I plan on doing a video that features the techniques I use. It's different for lakes vs creeks. As far as Holter goes some days jigs are whats for dinner and other days it's small nymphs it's nice to have more than one trick in the bag of tricks so to speak. :D

I'm looking forward to making the next video that will showcase technique and gear. The biggest problem is not catching fish. The biggest problem is finding someone to film. Once I start catching fish everyone watch to fish and not film. Can't say I blame them, I'd rather fish as well.
