There's an interesting website I check once in a while to see the current water situation at Lake Powell. I thought some might be interested.

The current elevation of the lake is 3571.84 ft.
That's 128+ ft. below full pool of 3700 ft.
Minimum elevation for power production is 3490 ft.
Over the last two weeks, the elevation has dropped about one foot every five days. This will obviously be slowing soon.

Here's the website. Lots of info on the entire Colorado River basin if you follow the links.

Has anyone else read the September National Geographic ??

You naysayers who don't believe in Global warming should at least read it.

Shows a dramatic photo of Lake Powell.

No doubt in my mind that there is global warming, but is it a cycle, i haven`t read much about it, but i believe just in the heat island effect it is happening and i can feel it[heat island] as the city grows out by me. but i have seen some PBS. documentery`s on it and how the glaciers in alaska are melting. also the brush on the tundra is growing taller and thicker, this makes the snowpack melt faster, they do some aerial photography to prove it. But i must admit i don`t know alot about it. [ok Buzz you can rip me now]
