In preperation for my elk hunt next month in Wyoming, Jake and I spent some airline miles and flew to Denver then drove to Wyoming to take a look at the area I will be hunting in. There were quite a few bow hunters out and about so we didn't really get out and do any scouting, but at least I did learn the lay of the land and find a place to camp at, with a couple of backup locations. We then did a little site seeing in the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

I took a ton of pictures and actually had a few that came out decent this time. Here are a few with a short caption for you. Hope you enjoy.

Big city we passed through in Wyoming.

Next we ate lunch at this historic site.

The next two are a couple of scenery shots around my hunt area.

Here are a few of Wyoming's claim to fame, or part of it anyways.

Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

Nice pics. Did you go through Chugwater?
Don't remember the name, so I don't think so.

Sounds like fun. Did you see any elk in RMNP?

We were there during the middle of the day and didn't see any, course we didn't go through all of it neither.

The funny thing about this trip was the number of people we met who were either from within 20 miles of our home or were related to someone from there. From the waiter at an Olive Garden, cashier at Bass Pro, night clerk at a hotel, random guy at a gas station and a couple of people on the plane.

Tell me about it....;)
