I fully agree. I knew the gentleman who owned this gun and all his family. He and his father were both state senators and they were all big into upland hunting so the gun would no doubt have many stories to relate. How great would it be if venerable guns could share the stories of their lives?
I hope that you and she will get along just right.
My Grandfather hired out as a guide for Northern hunters who came down to Eastern NC back in the day when every patch of woods contained several coveys and even though the quail have practically disappeared from my childhood haunts I still get to hunt some pen raised birds on occasion.
I have many fond memories of hunting quail along the hedge row windbreaks South and East of Wichita with my Sioux friend Clay back in the mid 60's.
