2021 Kodiak Alaska bear hunt finally happened. I had this trip planned for some time. I left April 18th and started hunting on the 21st. I saw approx 30 bears. On average 4 a day. One day I didn’t see any. The days are spent sitting on the beaches glassing for 12 hours no joke. Waiting for the right bear and right situation. I was blessed with absolutely great weather. On day 7 of a 12 day hunt I spotted a big bear with great fur on a deer carcass so we decided to head on into the jungle and put a stalk on. 2 hours later we ended up 70 yards from the bear and his deer carcass. We waited 4 hours for him to give us an opportunity but, he was content with his deer and would not come out. We decided that we needed to make a move and go in after him. I ended up shooting this beautiful bear at 10 yards on a charge. I shot him 3 times in the chest and both shoulders and he died only feet from me. The most amazing hunt I have ever been on an absolutely amazing animal. There is nothing in the world I have experienced like hunting Kodiak Island Brown bears. Enjoy the pictures it was an amazing trip all around.

I’m a quick shot. He came out of the brush charging stopped for a second shot him in the chest. As he started to roll toward me I pulled the bolt back and shot again a 2nd shot. When he stopped rolling I pulled the bolt back again and shot for the third time. He died 3 feet from me. I shoot a 300 ultra mag. Thanks for asking.

😆We watched him cover up the deer and then he moved to the right into some heavier brush. We could not see him at this point. We thought he would bed down for the rest of the night and not come out. So we decided we would try and sneak into where we last saw him and try and shoot him. As we tried sneaking in he was watching us the whole time from what another guy watching in a spotting scope later told us.
