Been looking for some hunting clothing and boots for my daughter. She drew a few tags in Idaho and this will be her first year hunting big game. Want to make sure she is comfortable. Don't mind spending some money to get her set up but seems like she changes shoe sizes twice a year. Any thoughts or ideas from anyone who has been through this appreciated.

Does anyone make wool for kids? Or have any used kids clothing they might want to sell?

I found Logans stuff at DI. For really cold times we just use ski gear, seems like every yard sale has some of that. Boots I lucked out and found a pair that still had tags on them at youth ranch. Wife and son wear the same size right now so the out growing issue is moot.

How old is your daughter? If she is younger try lucky bums, they have some good stuff. If she is older try cabelas outfither. My wife says they are not so tight in the hips like mens clothing. Good luck, have fun. My daughter is only 3 and I can't wait till she can go.

Dicks sporting goods has some stuff on clearance and an extra 40% off. Woman's Prius pants for around $50. See what they have. Check all the other places, black Ovis, Kings cameo, linton outdoors.

Thanks for all the info she is 10 will be 11 in November and small for her age. Wears an 8 in pants and 10-12 in jackets.

She's been out with me on hunts but always in pretty mild weather. She drew a late buck and doe tag here and will be hunting November and December. Just want to make sure I can make her comfortable.

I have some walls blizzard pruf, both jacket and bibs but they are a size 12-14.. Also have a pair of UA speed freak boots but they are a size 8 in mens..Just pm me if you want pics..

Mac, if she drew that 39 youth xtra doe be ready for a good time. My son drew it last year and we saw easily 100 deer in the one day we hunted. Patience for something in a good place is a virtue.

She did and have hunted some of the area and saw deer every time. Also has a late buck and cow tag. I never draw anything but can't think of anything better than helping her have a great first year hunting.

Glad you've introduced her. I would almost rather take Logan than go myself.

Couple places I've found good deals on kids hunting clothes are amazon, macks prairie wings, and camofire. You have to look often and be ready to buy as they don't last long. Good luck!
