Kansas Bucks

VERY slow start to our week in Kansas. 6 guys in camp sitting all day and nobody saw anything close to a shooter the first two days. Monday was in the 70s and Tuesday wind was up steady 20+ mph. But Haloween turned out good for two of us.....

Mine was a tank....just about as big as the yearling cow elk I shot in September.

Side question.... want to get a full skull euro mount done but outfitter says we cant transport the skull and have to skullcap them. Can I leave it with a bug place locally and have then ship it once completely clean?

Those deer are big as tanks, lots of great meat there.
We just had some friends up from down south hunting mule deer in Wyoming. We boiled out their skulls for them and they will finish them off at home.
Not sure that you were required to do that in Kansas. Regs show no bans on animals parts as of yet. Maybe Montana has a reg on that he was talking about.

Super nice deer, would you mind telling me what his inside spread measurement is, I am on the Kansas Nebraska border right now and these big bodied deer keep fooling us on size of rack vs body. The pic you took this morning will help me with field judging if I know at least one measurement! Thanks much and congrats!!!
