K-9's on deer or something else ?

I just finished bleaching the 3 heads and look what I found. Now this is interesting. Deer were once carnivores ? In light of the recent post made about the deer eating a baby bird. The recessive trait is shown in this deer. It must have been cover by the gum and when the beatles were finished they came to light.

Is the tooth ivory? It's kind of like the elk teeth location wise.
