Since you all are a big bag of doom and gloom right now (WY Leg, Wolf Study, Public Lands for sale) I thought I'd start Wednesday off with a bag (trying my hardest for a double entendre).

Had date night at the range lastnight again, and got the last of my Mashburn fire forming loads done. Now I just need to anneal, and trim the necks and lock in a load.

Might as well toss out a throwback too since gobbler season is right around the corner.

I was going to go to the range today but I got sucked into conference call world.

We also have to pick the dog up from the vet and I think I'd get shot if I missed picking up momma's baby.

I am confused about the precise theme of this thread other than Jr's sweet 7 Mashburn.

This week I recieved my New Balance MT110w (w for winter). Did my first run over 5 miles since fall, yesterday at a balmy +11 degrees. For those who are weird, like me, and run in toe shoes, these seem to be a great option for winter running. Felt good, hopefully my effort will bring me sucess on my first bear hunt this spring.

In addition, my wife and I just returned from USVI last week. This is how I earn time for hunting come fall. Pretty rough.

Trunk Bay, St.John, USVI.

Like!

USVI is tough to beat. I would love to do a sailboat trip down there sometime, got to work on the wife's sealegs a little more before that will happen though. I did do some awesome snorkeling this trip. One morning I swam into a big school of permit, they were big ones too. It was awesome to be swimming with a group of spooky fish like that! Next time I am bringing down the flyrod too!

Hit BVI - less traffic than USVI & better overall experience, IMO.

Virgin Gorda & Jost Van Dyke were a ton of fun. Norman Island was the inspiration for RLS Treasure Island. Incredible snorkling there too. Wife got within about 10 feet of a nice sized barracuda. Had to grab her leg to keep her from getting closer.

I took flyrods and rented spinning gear. Only caught a small kingfish & false albacore while trolling between Virgin Gorda & Jost. Broke a fly rod on a tiny Bonefish on Virgin Gorda.

Can't wait to get back there.
