It's been awhile...

It's been a long time since I shot a deer with archery (even though this was with a crossbow). Veteran's Day this guy chased 3 does in front of me. I could see that he had busted a tine, but was the biggest I've seen in person this year. He stopped at 45yds and only went 60yds. First deer killed with a Rage broadhead. I could literally see the start of the blood trail from the stand. I forgot my tripod, so no "hero" pics.

Finding a buck where my youngest can see it and get a shot has been harder than I'd have guessed.

I think what turned my luck around was wearing my Dad's Treebark bibs that have to be close to 30yrs old.

That's probably the first time I've ever been called OG.

Well, everything followed the script yesterday. Except for the shot. Buck fever got the best of Super K and he missed a buck that was dogging a doe.

We'll be out this afternoon trying again.
