Any of you ever use a trekking pant that has internal gators? Already sewn into the pant leg? Just curious if there is any benefit or detriment to these style of pants?

From a review i wrote in 2012:
The Momentum Pant has a unique gaiter that wraps around the ankle portion and is held tight to the boot with a grippy rubber elastic cuff, combined with a hook that hooks into the laces. Snap two snaps on the outside edge of the gaiter, zip the outer pant leg zipper and no snow will get up between your pants and boots. Don’t want to mess with it? No problem. Unzip them and you have a reinforced Hypalon cuff and 12 inch long vertical lower leg zips to accommodate your high rubber boots or pac boots. Very handy.
