Neither really that time of year. Sawtooths are fun, tags for 5 species in your pocket at the same time.

Heading to the sawtooth area this year for opening season deer and elk, what do the herds look like? Any nice bulls or bucks roaming this area this year?

Oddnumbers, nope. Still too hot, snakes are out in the afternoons. No one is seeing any bucks anywhere and the elk have vanished it appears for the most part. Need rain badly dust is deep and thick. Might have moisture by the 11th of the month sure hope so. We've been high low over and under the mountains and can't find a buck one. Just looking for a starting point. Seeing a ton of bucks in town of course. LOL
