Been so pleased with my 270 I've toyed with letting my 300 WSM go. It's the nice looking stainless fluted 700 cdl model and it shoots good. Last time at the range, I got off of the bench and shot off of shooting sticks after doing jumping jacks and boy was that humbling. Before we packed up, I decided to take one last shot. My target was the 18" steel plate at 500 yards. I decide prone off the bipod would be the best position. I dialed up the dope for elevation and wind and the results are below.

Looks like you know a thing or two about long range shooting. Was that shot with the 300 WSM (impressive shot) or the 270 (also an impressive shot with the best of conditions).

300 WSM. 165 gr Accubond hand load. To clarify, the post is meant to be more of a brag on the gun than on me.

Gratifying when science and muscle memory culminates. Good shooting.

I'm also a 300 WSM fan.
