I got the grocery store blues

I've noticed lately that I can't find Campbell's "Chicken Gumbo" soup at my local grocery stores. I believe they have stopped making it (either that or the gumbo machine is broken). You see, Chicken Gumbo was the main ingredient when I made barbecues (sloppy joes for some of you). Barbecues are one of my favorite foods, it will be a blow to me if I am no longer able to make it. I emailed campbells and am eagerly awaiting their response.

Have you guys ever liked a food then it was discontinued?

I can't imagine a recipe for sloppy joes that uses chicken gumbo soup? Maybe the ND version is different then the MT version.

I was trying to figure that out too. Gumbo really? You're going to have to share that recipe.

They do that all the time with beauty products. Drives me nuts when I find just the right shampoo then it's gone.

I used one shampoo for years, and am convinced that it helped me keep my hair while my brothers are both bald. Then they took it off the market, and now I'm losing my hair!!!! :BLEEP:

You guys don't know what you are missing, I'll post the recipe tomorrow when I get back home.

I like to make a double batch and freeze half of it. It reheats great in the microwave or on the stove top. Put it on a bun, put potato chips on the sloppy joe mix, then the top part of the bun and you have a heavenly meal that is perfect for cold winter saturdays.

I like to eat them with "French Onion" potato chips

Hmm - we don't even have "French Onion" potato chips. Being French, they must be pretty limp. We have "Maui Onion" chips - they are good!

Hey Smalls I was in the store the other day and came across your soup. If nothing else, Wally World still seems to be selling them. I picked up a couple of cans. Any chance you've got that recipe handy? Now you've got me interested.

When in doubt go to Wally World, they always seem to have what no one else does . why is that?
