Anybody else have that one buddy who goes waaaaay to far back and kills crap? I DO...... I am cold... I am wet... I am tired.... and there is a beautiful blonde bear in the back of the truck.

Next time I go that far back after a dead critter.. I better be the one behind the trigger.

Now I know who to call when I shoot something waaaaay to far back.;)

I hope you are keeping track of your "packing points". Depending in how far back you go, you'll be glad to have a buddy or two in debt to you.

We have had a pretty good past week.... I only got out two evenings, but saw 8 bears. My partner put in the long hours and hunted every night and all day on Sunday to get it done. Thank he has seen more than 20 bears so far... but several of those were sows and cubs. This early spring has the bears out and about.. we have run into lucky hunters and heard several shots. No need to wait till May this year... get out there and punch a tag.

Guess that means he doesn't mind working extra hard to be successful.

I've hunted that burn myself. Big country and its easy to get 'way to far back' in those mnts. Congrats to your friend on a beautiful bear.
